Connecting Determined Jobseekers with Entry-Level Roles
Njabulo was determined to find stable work that would allow him to support his family. Like many entry-level jobseekers in South Africa, he was motivated and ready – but faced obstacles that made it difficult to connect with reliable opportunities. High transportation costs, unreliable job-listings, and outdated recruitment practices often stood in the way.
Turning Applications into Interviews
When a friend told him about JobJack, Njabulo saw a new path forward. Using just his mobile phone, he registered on the platform and applied. “Everything was simple. The questions to register on the platform as a jobseeker were easy, and I didn’t have to travel just to apply for jobs,” he shared.
JobJack removes financial and logistical barriers for jobseekers, offering a mobile, data-light way to apply for jobs – no printed CVs or costly travel required until an interview is secured. Employers pay a monthly subscription to streamline hiring through automated assessments and digital applications, reducing the time-to-hire and administrative burden, especially in high-turnover industries like retail and fast-food. JobJack matches jobseekers with roles where they are most likely to succeed and stay long-term, using pre-screening assessments on skills, qualifications, and credit history.
Building Stability — and Looking Ahead
Today, Njabulo works in a customer-facing role at a national retain chain. He’s proud to earn a living, support his family, and plan for what’s next. “Finding a job through JobJack changed my life – I can now take care of my responsibilities and take care of my children. That is what matters most.”
For Njabulo, this opportunity is just the beginning. “It was such an exciting moment when I got this job and finding it on my own. It gave me a real sense of achievement. I now want to grow into a management role in the same industry.”
